Prior to Thanksgiving 2024, I contacted Jim to get an estimate on replacing aging deck boards, as well as providing the entire deck with a new stain. He came out promptly, provided a fair, detailed quote on the work to be done, and answered all of my questions before the project began. Once the work was underway, Jim pointed out an optional benefit of installing a couple of additional posts near the house to further ensure the deck would remain safe and secure for years to come. He incorporated that installation into the project and completed all of the work in a reasonable amount of time. Once the project was completed, Jim thoroughly cleaned up the work area. If you are looking to extend the life of your existing deck, I recommend you give Jim a call.

Our deck painting went very well, with work performed quickly and completely and in line with our estimate. We had unfortunate luck with rain after the paint was applied and Jim repainted compromised patches without issue. Thanks!

Jim did an excellent job cleaning and staining my deck. He was communicative, prompt, and professional. He provided lots of information to help me make the necessary decisions. He also noticed a section that needed a repair, and took care of it the same day. I have no doubt the result will last several years, and plan to call him back when the deck needs another refresh.

He went above and beyond because our deck is a story above the ground level, so It required him to carry his equipment up a ladder. He took care of moving our grill and table, so he could complete his work. Jim and his crew completed the work In the time promised. My deck is over 20 years old. The Deck Hand did a spectacular job with power washing, refinishing and staining! It now looks brand new ! The Deck Hand, Jim Cook and his team Are very conscientious. Also they are very detailed with their work. With plans to eventually put our home on the market, my wife and I needed to find someone to power wash the house, repaint our columns and steps, and paint our front and rear porches. The Deck Hand was able to provide all of these services, and more. The paintwork looks fantastic, and the house gleams like it did when it was first built. Jimmy was also able to thoroughly clean our white porch furniture, and it looks superb on the newly painted front porch. Jimmy did all this work for a fair price and in a timely fashion. Our neighbor at Orchard Valley recommended Jim to stain our deck. Jim took advantage of a break in the weather (March) and got the work done and at a great price. We know who we will call the next time the Homeowner's Association tells us it's time to restain the deck.
